Glad to hear from you. You will enjoy your asparagus. Not sure what type of crowns your local merchants had for sale, but ours are 1-year crowns and they are of the highest quality. We even stand behind them if they do not grow later on in the season. So rest assured, you are getting good crowns from a company that stands behind what we sell.

I have never ordered from a mail order plant site before. I also have never tried to grow asparagus before. The locals told me to plant the asparagus around the middle of April. So from what I gathered, when I receive my plants from you it will be at least a few weeks past that and I may have panicked. I will probably be fine with the plants on your shipping dates since you guys do this for a living and if they were shipped too late you would have fixed that by now. I will wait patiently and the most important thing to me is getting quality crowns. I have looked at some crowns at the local nursery and some look a lot better than others. That is why I ordered from you guys. So far I am still a satisfied customer and I will stay that way if the crowns are of high quality. I would like them as soon as possible but high quality is probably more important. Like I said, I have never tried to grow asparagus before and maybe I am worried too much and I should just trust you guys. Thank you very much. Your concern and effort has made me feel good about my purchase. Looking forward to maybe ordering from you again because I am going to open up a new plot and I am not sure what I will plant but I might order from you. Thanks!

Dear KB, Thanks so much for taking the time to post your response here. I want to thank you for your order — you will not be disappointed. We highly value your business and do not take your comment lightly. I can say that we have the ship dates listed on each individual product page (there are 3 of them for asparagus) and also on the main info page for asparagus; that is a total of 4 date listings. The reason asparagus ships later than you may have wanted is because the crowns are harvested fresh from the fields in New Jersey. They are not able to harvest them until the ground has warmed up and also has dried out enough for them to work in the fields. There is nowhere you can buy fresh Jersey Asparagus crowns at this time of year, since they are all grown on the farm in New Jersey. You will not be sorry for the wait, as Jersey Asparagus is the BEST asparagus available.
